Ukraine Increased Agricultural Exports by 2.04% in January-May
In the first five months of this year, Ukraine exported $ 9.09 billion worth of agricultural products, which is 2.04% more than in the same period last year ($ 8.9 billion).

Instead, hryvnia revenue for the reporting period decreased by 2.5% due to the strengthening of the hryvnia currency – from UAH 240.5 billion in January-May 2019 to UAH 234.4 billion in 2020.
Thus, exports of domestic agricultural products to the EU during the reporting period in monetary terms decreased by 9.2% – from $ 2.9 billion to $ 2.63 billion. In particular, the EU’s share in exports of Ukrainian agricultural products is 29%.
In the first five months of this year, Asian countries increased imports of Ukrainian agricultural products by 11.6% – from $ 3.86 billion to $ 4.31 billion. The share of this region is 47.4%. Besides, 27% of all supplies of these products to Asian countries is accounted for China.
Procurement of Ukrainian agricultural products and African countries increased by 6.1% – from $ 1.38 billion to $ 1.47 billion. Thus, their share is 16%.
However, deliveries to America decreased by 11.4% – from $ 86.8 million in 2019 to $ 76.91 million in 2020. The share of this region is 8.3%.
Australia and Oceania buy the least domestic agricultural goods: in the first five months of 2020, their purchases amounted to only $ 13.99 million. However, this is 44.4% more than in the same period last year ($ 9.69 million).
